Best Memory
Does anyone have a particularly fantastic memory of Pillsbury days that they would like to share? This is a rather generic post, but I know I sometimes have great flash-backs to the fun times I had at Pillsbury. So many of us made life-long friends, met our spouses, and changed our lives in various other ways at Pillsbury. I remember once talking to Jeff Darling about how Pillsbury was different from other Baptist Bible Colleges. Even though he had gone to another college first, when he came to Pillsbury, he joined the family instantly and felt the intensity of relationships that is unique to our alma mater!
Do you have a particular moment that sticks in your mind about Pillsbury? Please share in the comment box below!

Hey Pillsbury friends! This is Jason J. I went to Pillsbury from 1999 to 2003. I don't have a pillsbury memory right now. I'm just trying to get included in the blog. My wife, Janelle, and I are foster parents of four of the cutest kids I have ever seen. We have a blog at www.partyofsix.blogspot.com which talks all about it. However, because of privacy issues with the kids, we need to keep it secure. Just e-mail us at www.jovialgiant@hotmail.com to let us know if you want to view it and we can let you in. We would love to hear from you.
I had a funny story recently that may strike a chord with some.
When Mr. Randy Miller, the Grand Pubah of Pillsbury history and lore, was still at Pilly I heard him sing a "fractured" version of Love Lifted Me. I don't know if anyone knows/remembera it so I will write it here:
I was sinking deep in sin,
Having a wonderful time.
Then my roomate turned me in;
Now he's no friend of mine.
I had to talk with the dean;
He said he'd give me a fine.
Then they kicked me out of school
Now free am I.
During the summer of 2005 I taught the song to a couple girls in our youth group while on our missions trip in Canada. They then came back and taught it to their parents and a few other youth. It should be noted that not all the parents in the youth group thought the song as amusing as I did, but I digress.
Fast forward to Fall 2006. The girls I taught the song to were singing it in the hallway at church a couple weeks ago. One of the Pilly students that comes to Albert Lea for church overheard it and thought it was so funny that she wanted to learn it. She got someone to write the words down for her and it is now printed and posted on her door in the girl's dorm. So, your Mr. Miller's songs are still alive in the grand old halls of PBBC.
One of my favorite memories (besides Ethan of course) was Guano Fest. If there is any story I can tell a friend who doesn't know about Pilly, and have they say "wow" to, it would definately be Guano Fest.
My team didn't win the competition, and I was on a team with all freshmen, so we really coudln't win. But I didn't care, it was a blast. Thanks Naomi!
I just want to share a quick PBBC memory of working in the Dining Common. I had the privilege of working in the dishroom and while it wasn't fun going to class smelling like wet dog, I got to work with some great people! Jon Sandahl, Joe Kerns, Jared Fisher, Volka Weise, Brian Volbrecht and some other great people. These were people I probably would never have gotten acquainted with had it not been for the dishroom.
I think my fondest memory of the dishroom was when Mr. Bjokne was turning in his food tray and Jon Sandahl sprayed him with the dishroom sprayer. Without even looking thru the window, Mr. Bjokne says, "Jon. . ." Jon's reply, "Oops". Only Jon could have got away with something like that! :o) Good times!

I remember when Jon Sandal would come up to people and throw an empty grenade and run away like it was going to blow up.
